Signature of outstanding success

(in last three postings)

1. The post of Principal Secretary, Public Grievances and Public Administration Deptt. offered the dynamic scope to visit almost all districts of Odisha and hearken to the grievances of the people including the predicaments of the impecunious and poverty-stricken target groups. Massive steps were taken to organize Samadhan Sibirs, Maha Samadhan Sibirs and Krishi Samadhan Sibirs at the interior areas of the districts so that people’s grievances could be redressed at their door steps (Service at the door steps). All the district level officers including the S.P. of the district under the Chairmanship of the collector hearken the grievances of the people on each monday and redress the same on the spot as per practicable.
Apart from grievance hearing, steps were taken and 63000 pending pension cases were finalized and final pension orders were issued, giving much relief to the retired employees(2013-2016).

2. During the postings Director General, Gopabandhu Academy of Administration, Odisha, Bhubaneswar, the work was tremendously appreciated by Director, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussorrie as best Administrative Training Institute and all A.T.I. of the country were asked to emulate the training programme and schedule of Gopabandhu Academy. Gopabandhu Academy got. ISO: 9001-2015 (latest) certification during the tenure Director General-cum Additional Chief Secretary there. No other corporation or Institute in Odisha or any A.T.I. elsewhere in the country, had not got it.

3. Drive against corruption was taken up during the tenure as Chairman-cum-ACS, Odisha State Warehousing Corporation. All possible steps to eradicate corruption was taken as chairman, Odisha State Warehousing Corporation.

Views by officers trained by Mr. Mishra

• The best aspect of GAA is their Director General, Shri S.K. Mishra,
who is the best administrator, I have ever met.

Renu Nigam
Under Secretary
Human Resources & Development, New Delhi

• As for the DG himself, his demeanour is one of father figure and
very friendly and goes out of the way to make the trainees feel at
home away from home. From the interactions so far with him, he
has come across as one with good tastes and if the plans on the
anvil conveyed by him are any indication, the Academy will be taken
to an altogether different level.
